Tarsus Group is pleased to announce the latest addition to their global portfolio of events, a joint-venture launch event with Thailand based Inter-Media Consultants, organisers of the Thailand International Motor Expo.   Together they will develop AAITF Bangkok, a new automotive aftermarket event for Thailand’s fast moving and growing aftermarket, modification and tuning sectors.   This new show will further cement AAITF’s position as the world’s leading automotive aftermarket trade-show brand; including the world’s largest automotive  aftermarket event held annually in Guangzhou, as well as sister editions in Indonesia and now Thailand.

Inter-Media’s Thailand International Motor Expo has established itself as the principal automotive event for Thailand and the surrounding region.   The co-location of AAITF Bangkok (Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning Trade Fair Bangkok 2014) will allow the partners to target an expected audience of 10,000 trade visitors, hungry to source new and innovative international and local aftermarket brands and products.   The organisers anticipate 200 exhibitors at the inaugural edition, which will be held from 5 – 7 December 2014 at the Impact Challenger Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand.

Commenting on the launch, Douglas Emslie, Group Managing Director of Tarsus Group said “We are very excited about this latest partnership and the opportunity to develop a new event for one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant automotive markets.   Combining AAITF’s vast international exhibitor base with Inter-Media’s strong Thai and regional automotive databases will quickly allow AAITF Bangkok to establish itself as mainland South East Asia’s premier automotive aftermarket event”.

AAITF Bangkok 2014 will provide a business to business platform for a selection of international and local suppliers of automotive aftermarket products to meet with retailers, distributors and automotive modification and tuning workshop owners from Thailand and mainland SE Asia.   Product groups on display will include auto parts; car audio visual and electronics; car care and beauty; car tuning; car decoration; and car apparel.   A dedicated content programme including buyer matching, seminars, practical workshops, competitions and features will provide further compelling reasons to attend.

“The Thailand International Motor Expo is recognised as the region’s leading automotive event attracting over 1.6 million visitors annually, so affording Inter-Media a unique understanding of Thailand’s automotive market.    We are confident that AAITF Bangkok’s offering of exciting new aftermarket brands across every price point will be eagerly received by our Thai and regional trade customers, who are keen to source new innovations in response to growing consumer demand” commented Mr Kwanchai Paphatphong, President and CEO, Inter-Media Consultant Co., Ltd.

Thailand enjoys the second largest economy in SE Asia, a population of just over 64 million, and the strongest automotive industry in SE Asia.   Over 1.4 million new cars were sold in 2012, whilst production reached 2.45 million vehicles.   1 million were exported, rating Thailand as the 7th largest car exporter globally.

“Fusing Thailand’s position as SE Asia’s automotive hub, with Impact Challenger’s world-class exhibition space, and Bangkok’s unique situation as the business gateway to mainland SE Asia will provide the perfect context for AAITF Bangkok to grow, thrive and deliver real business opportunities.   We thoroughly support the partnership and welcome Tarsus’ presence as a major international exhibition organiser and an inventive force within the Thai exhibitions sector” commented Jaruwan Suwannasat, Director, Exhibitions and Events Department, TCEB (Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau).
